Chalhoub group reinforces its net zero ambition with the launch of planet fwd in the 2025 sustainability report

    Thu, Jul, 23, 2026

Our Sustainability Report 2025 reflects the progress achieved over the past year across governance, human rights, and climate action. In 2025, the Group continued strengthening ESG integration across the business by further embedding ESG priorities into executive performance scorecards and decision-making processes across departments. We also advanced our human rights due diligence approach through enhanced governance frameworks to reinforce responsible business practices across operations and the value chain. Most notably, the launch of Planet FWD marked a significant acceleration of our decarbonisation journey, focused on closing the gap toward our Science Based Targets initiative-aligned 2032 carbon reduction targets in line with our Net Zero 2040 roadmap.

As we move forward, our focus remains on strengthening implementation, accelerating measurable progress, and continuing to work collaboratively with our people, partners, and direct communities to create lasting impact and shared value across our value chain.”   Florence Bulté, Chief Sustainability Officer at Chalhoub Group

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 3rd  JUNE 2026: Chalhoub Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, marking the Group’s continued commitment to embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities across its business, operations, and wider ecosystem.

As part of its 2025 Sustainability Report, the publication highlights progress achieved across its strategic sustainability pillars, People and Partners, while introducing Planet FWD, an enhanced environmental strategy designed to accelerate climate action, circularity, and nature-positive impact across the value chain.

The report reflects Chalhoub Group’s belief that long-term business performance and sustainable growth must progress hand in hand, with ESG considerations increasingly embedded into operational priorities, business transformation, and future growth ambitions.

Three Strategic Pillars: People, Partners, Planet

People

Chalhoub Group continued advancing its people agenda through initiatives focused on employee engagement, inclusion, well-being, and talent development across the region. In 2025, the Group achieved a 90% accessibility compliance rate across UAE entities under the Dubai Unified Code and currently employs 58 People of Determination across its operations. Leadership diversity also continued progressing, with women representing 46% of leadership positions. National talent development also remained a priority, with 450 UAE Nationals employed in 2025. Beyond the workplace, community impact initiatives positively reached more than 1.29 million lives during the year.

Partners

Chalhoub Group continues to engage suppliers, strategic partners, and financial institutions to strengthen sustainability performance and accountability across its value chain.

Through the Sustainability Supplier Scorecard, the Group enhanced supplier engagement and visibility on ESG risks and performance, achieving a 40% supplier scorecard completion rate in 2025, alongside ESG audits conducted across more than 1,800 suppliers.

The Group also continued leveraging collective action to advance shared sustainability impact across the retail and luxury ecosystem, driving environmental progress through Unity for Change and the Comité Colbert coalition, while supporting human rights principles through Impact Collective.

In parallel, Chalhoub Group further strengthened partnerships with financial institutions through four Sustainability-Linked Loans (SLLs), reinforcing the integration of ESG performance into financial mechanisms and long-term business strategy.

 Planet

Chalhoub Group continues advancing its Net Zero 2040 and Zero Waste to Landfill 2030 ambitions, accelerating climate action, circularity, and biodiversity efforts across its operations and value chain. In 2025, the Group achieved a 13% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity per USD million revenue, supporting progress toward its Science Based Targets initiative-aligned targets.

Through RESOLVE, its circularity initiative focused on retail display materials, Chalhoub Group achieved a 90% waste diversion rate from landfill in the UAE and recovered more than 700m² of warehouse space through reuse, recovery, and circular operations.

The Group also accelerated energy efficiency initiatives through digitally enabled monitoring and operational improvements, with four UAE facilities achieving LEED Gold certification. In parallel, the STEP (Stores Towards Earth Protection) framework was expanded to existing stores to further assess environmental performance against the Group’s sustainable design guidelines and strengthen sustainable retail operations.

Under their Nature commitment, Chalhoub Group completed its first biodiversity impact assessment to identify priority impact areas and support biodiversity strategy development, while expanding ecosystem restoration initiatives through artificial reef and marine rehabilitation projects.

Planet FWD: Creating Impact Together

A key milestone introduced in the 2025 Sustainability Report is the launch of Planet FWD, Chalhoub Group’s strategic environmental platform designed to accelerate progress toward decarbonisation, circularity, and nature-positive impact across the full value chain.

Planet FWD reflects the Group’s ambition to evolve its environmental strategy from operational optimisation toward broader value chain transformation, positioning Chalhoub Group as a regional leader in sustainable luxury through measurable climate action, circularity, and biodiversity impact.

The platform is designed to accelerate the Group’s journey toward Net Zero by embedding environmental excellence across operations and the supply chain, creating impact that extends beyond organisational boundaries.

Over the past years, Chalhoub Group has built strong operational foundations through dedicated Environmental Taskforces focused on energy, waste, fuel, and operational supplies, while continuing to drive measurable progress across these areas. At the same time, the Group recognises that the majority of its environmental footprint lies within the supply chain, making it essential to extend climate and environmental action beyond direct operations.

To support this next phase, Chalhoub Group is currently conducting a gap-to-target assessment and carbon emissions projections to identify the actions required to meet its near-term Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)-validated 2032 targets and achieve Net Zero by 2040.

Through Planet FWD, the Group aims to strengthen accountability, reinforce collaboration across its partner and supplier ecosystem, and continue building long-term environmental leadership across the luxury sector and the region.

The Three Pillars of Planet FWD

Net-Zero FWD  Net-Zero FWD establishes a clear pathway toward achieving Chalhoub Group’s near-term SBTi targets and Net Zero by 2040. The pillar focuses on assessing gaps to targets, developing carbon budgets for key business units, embedding climate considerations into business decisions related to growth and expansion, and strengthening governance structures and ownership models to ensure accountability for emissions trajectories across the organisation.

Circularity FWD  Circularity FWD aims to transition from fragmented and ad hoc circular initiatives toward a structured, Group-wide approach that embeds circular business models across operations and the wider value chain.  The initiative seeks to make material recovery, reuse, recycling, and circular design principles a measurable and consistent part of how the business operates, grows, and creates value.

Nature FWD  Nature FWD builds on the outcomes of the Group’s biodiversity impact assessment to develop a comprehensive biodiversity strategy and actionable implementation plans.  The pillar is designed to ensure that sourcing decisions, supply chain activities, and brand operations increasingly contribute to nature-positive outcomes and ecosystem protection.

Sustainability Strategy in Action

By embedding sustainability across People, Partners, and Planet, Chalhoub Group continues to translate ESG priorities into measurable actions and long-term business value.

The Group’s approach supports operational resilience, encourages collaboration across its ecosystem, and contributes to building more responsible and future-oriented business practices across the luxury sector and the region.

Through the launch of Planet FWD and the continued integration of ESG priorities into governance and operations, Chalhoub Group reinforces its commitment to accelerating environmental progress while creating shared value for employees, partners, communities, and the environment.
