NEXT is one of Chalhoub Group’s initiatives in bringing the Group President closer to a selected group of young leaders.

“We are next-generation leaders, inspiring transformation as we come together to create a positive impact and elevate the voice of the people at Chalhoub Group.”

The Group desired a forum that facilitates open and transparent conversations, engagement and fresh ideas where members can contribute towards making strategic decisions for the Group. It had to be one that would keep the Group's entrepreneurial spirit at heart while adding value to the business through a constant flow of communication and an evolution of ideas and practices. The result was NEXT.

Launched in 2017, NEXT is one of Chalhoub Group’s initiatives that brings the Group President closer to a selected group of young leaders. It operates with the mission to inspire, foster innovation, elevate the voice of the people and engage with our Group Presidents in a non-political and non-hierarchical way. The committee goes through a change cycle every 18 months, encouraging a fresh perspective while retaining a few members from the previous rotation.

NEXT instils a servant-leadership mentality at the core of the Group by practising reverse mentorship while focusing on the well-being and growth of employees, engaging with young leaders, respecting their opinions and giving them an unbiased platform to share their ideas and challenge the status- quo.

How does the Group's businesses benefit from NEXT? The committee plays a major role not only in identifying challenges faced by the business but also seeks the most effective and efficient solutions to support the Group’s growth, being a catalyst for specific initiatives and thinking board on key trends and relevant signals of change for the Group.
